Soulja Boy is a free man.
Just hours after being arrested for a probation violation on Friday (Mar. 15), Big Drako was released from custody. And he didn’t waste any time, returning to Instagram Live to celebrate his freedom.
“Yeah, ni**a, I’m out, ni**a!” said Soulja. “Big Drako, ni**a, I’m out of jail! This shit ain’t gon’ stop, bruh! Y’all got me fucked up! I had the biggest comeback of 2018, bruh!”

During his celebratory rant, he also cracked a joke at the expense of 6ix9ine, who remains in jail after accepting a plea deal in his federal racketeering case. “Ni**as tryna hate on me and shit, bruh. I’m not going out like 6ix9ine, bruh! You got me fucked up,” he added while showing off his intimate wristband.
Soulja said he was behind bars with the “Bloods and Crips” before declaring himself the “hottest rapper in the game.”
Despite his arrest, that didn’t stop him from taking the court at halftime during the Clippers vs. Bulls game at L.A.’s Staples Center, where he performed his 2007 hit “Crank That (Soulja Boy).”
Earlier in the day, he was arrested for a probation violation after police previously searched his Agoura Hills, Calif. home and found ammunition while investigating an alleged kidnapping. He was handcuffed and taken to a Van Nuys jail during a visit to his probation officer.
Soulja’s lawyer, Fred Minassian, tells TMZ that the judge released him pending a hearing on March 29. “There was no finding in regards to his probation violation,” says Minassian.
