As he gears up for his new album next month, Juice WRLD is back with his latest song “Robbery.”
Over the piano-driven track, produced by Nick Mira, the 20-year-old Chicago rapper reflects on the gift and the curse of being in touch with his emotions. “She told me put my heart in the bag / And nobody gets hurt, he sings. “Now I’m running from her love / I’m not fast / So I’m making it worse / Now I’m digging up a grave from my past / I’m a whole different person.”
He also shares advice from his father: “One thing my dad told me was never let your woman know when you’re insecure.”
Juice WRLD is now readying his sophomore album Death Race for Love, the follow-up to last year’s Goodbye & Good Riddance, for release on March 8. “It’s truly every part of my soul,” he told Zane Lowe on Beats 1. “Not just one part. Every part of my personality, not just one part. Every area of my brain, not just one part. It’s like a Picasso painting.”
Starting Feb. 21, he will hit the road with Nicki Minaj on their “Nicki WRLD Tour” across Europe. The two have also collaborated on “a couple things.”
“She’s cool people. Really kind spirited,” he said of Minaj. “She’s one of them people that set the trail for people to follow…She put that print down for other female artists to put that print next to her.”
