After performing with Ty Dolla $ign on “The Tonight Show” last week, Mariah Carey continued her Caution promo tour with a visit to “Good Morning America” on Monday.
During her first morning show appearance in over three years, the best-selling female artist of all time performed her Caution single “With You” in the Times Square studio. Looking gorgeous in all black, she belted out the Mustard production along with three backup singers and a pianist.
The legendary diva also spoke with “GMA” host Michael Strahan about going on tour with her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, and her 15th studio album. “I’m in a good place,” said MC. “Just for me as a songwriter, I’m very proud of it.”
She revealed that she’s most proud of the Timbaland-produced ballad “Portrait.” “Any type of song like that, I find is a release of whatever you’re going through emotionally,” she said. “It’s good to be able to have an outlet to put it in.”
Seventeen years since its release, the soundtrack to Glitter hit No. 1 on iTunes Albums chart, thanks to an online campaign started by her fans. “It’s actually a really good album. I can say it now that they got it to No. 1. So I thank them. This is really all about them.”
