6ix9ine Cost Promoter $300K Due to No-Show

TMZ has learned that 6ix9ine could face legal action after reportedly failing to show up for a concert during Howard University Homecoming weekend.

Promoters for the show, which was not affiliated with the University, were made aware of the cancellation just 35 minutes before the doors at Echostage in Washington, D.C. were set to open. In addition to turning away 400 people who were already in line, the organizers allegedly lost about $300K when they were forced to cover refunds for over 3,000 people. It’s the second time that the rapper has canceled on the promoter, and now they’re considering whether or not to turn this situation into a legal matter.

6ix9ine, who was paid $60K in advance for the concert, showed up that same night at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse show in New Jersey where he performed a set.

6ix9ine doesn’t appear to be all that phased by the threat of legal action over canceling. He recently posted a video on Instagram where he’s contemplating if he should walk into a local furniture store to pay back the $20 he owed an employee who allowed him to buy a mattress for $180, instead of $200.

Last week, 6ix9ine dodged prison time stemming from a 2015 child sex case. Despite prosecutors urging for upwards of three years behind bars, the rapper received four years of probation, and 1,000 hours of community service. He is also expected to stay out of legal trouble, and this latest situation probably doesn’t help his case with prosecutors who are itching to give him jail time.
