Following back-to-back tracks with Lil’ Kim and Chris Brown, Remy Ma teams up with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie on her latest single, “Company.”
Over an infectious beat, Remy provides sing-songy vibes while reminiscing about prison. “I was getting one visit, two phone calls, three showers a week,” she recalls. “Now I get like $90K for my voice just to touch the beat / I will never ask you what you got for me / I just want some sloppy every couple days, I want the D.”
Boogie handles the chorus and offers up a verse with his melodic trademark. “She just wants good vibes, she just need company / She don’t go outside unless she come for me,” he sings. “My baby said goodbye, now she don’t fuck with me.”
“I wanted to do a record that was fun and different for me,” said Remy, who previously remixed A Boogie’s “My Shit.” “So I went home to the Bronx and linked up with my homie A Boogie to give you ‘Company.'”
The two have also released a music video, which finds them turning a hotel into a nightclub.
“Company” is the latest release from Remy’s long-awaited sophomore album 7 Winters & 6 Summers. The project will also feature Lil’ Kim (“Wake Me Up”) and Chris Brown (“Melanin Magic (Pretty Brown)”).
