Kanye West continues to show love for President Donald Trump. After seemingly confirming presidential hopes for 2024, Yeezy explained his adoration for the current POTUS and his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
“You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” he tweeted. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.
“If your friend jumps off the bridge you don’t have to do the same,” he added. “Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don’t tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary. I love Hillary too.”

West, who plans to run for office in 2024, said he isn’t even political and that he doesn’t subscribe to any of the major parties. “I love when people have their own ideas. You don’t have to be allowed anymore. Just be,” he added. “Love who you want to love. That’s free thought. I’m not even political. I’m not a democrat or a republican.”
Later, he said his wife Kim Kardashian implored him to share this factoid. “My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone,” he wrote. “I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself.”

In 2016, West also endorsed Trump. “If I would’ve voted, I would have voted for Trump,” he said, shortly before being hospitalized. “I don’t think his approach was just entertaining, because that trivializes it, I actually think that his approach was absolutely genius because it fucking worked.”
West later met with Trump to discuss a variety of topics. “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” he tweeted after the meeting. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
Critics compared West’s praise for Trump and right-wing conservative Candace Owens to “the sunken place,” a reference to Get Out. Yeezy joked about that when announcing albums recently, but he brought it up again today. “I’m all the way out the sunken place,” he said. “And I’m not scared anymore. I’m not scared of the media. I’m not scared of the past and I’m optimistic about the future. This tweet is in love not fear.”
West is working on a slew of projects this year, including his own solo album and a joint project with Kid Cudi as Kids See Ghosts. He is also producing albums by Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, and Nas. However, his professional life is going through many changes. He recently parted ways with his legal and management teams. “I no longer have a manager. I can’t be managed,” he tweeted earlier today. “I’m nobody’s ‘client.'”
