Brooklyn’s latest budding hip-hop artist, Desiigner, hits the #1 spot on the Rap Songs charts with his one and only song “Panda”, after battling for seven weeks. We’ve got numbers! Hit the jump.

Frankie Zing

Although the 19-year old’s song is the #1 rap song right now, it’s also the #5 overall SONG on the Billboard charts sitting right behind Rihanna’s “Work” (#1), Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” (#2), Meghan Trainor’s “No” (#3), and Zayn’s “Pillowtalk” (#4). Not a bad start for your first song.

Sales of the track jumped 43% and it’s total number of streams rose 48% in the last week. “Panda” sold 70,000 downloads and was streamed 22.3 million times during that time.
