Steve Harvey’s mishap last night at the Miss Universe pageant certainly made for good TV and social media gold, but it also caused some very emotional moments for the contestants. Though she kept her composure like a true professional on stage, Miss Colombia definitely shed some tears as she got backstage and took in the moment. If you’re unaware, Steve accidentally crowned Miss Colombia as the winner, then had to take her crown BACK and give it to the rightful owner, Miss Philippines. So awkward!
In between tears, first runner-up Miss Colombia insisted she was “happy,” and added that “everything happens for a reason.” Ugh, I feel for her! Check out the emotional moment below.
