St. Louis Rams receiver Stedman Bailey was shot twice last week, with one of those being a head shot as he sat in a car in front of his home in Florida. He underwent emergency surgery immediately after the attack and thankfully things are getting better for him. He broke his silence for the first time since the incident.

At the time of the shooting, Bailey was in a car with Antwan Reeves and three other passengers, two of which were young relatives. Reeves has life-threatening injuries after shielding the children from bullets. He was taken into surgery upon arriving at the hospital.
“To my entire Rams family, especially my teammates, fans & peers I thank you so much for your continued prayers & support,” Bailey wrote. “My recovery has been nothing short of a miracle (a work of GOD) and I can only give GOD the praise, glory and honor for which he is doing in my life at this time.”
Bailey adds, “I will continue to get better day by day until Im able to get back on the field and I ask for your continued prayers.”
He referred to his recovery as a miracle numerous times and I don’t think anyone would disagree.
