Today, Sony provided IGN with a copy of a market briefing from the firm DFC Intelligence. Within, DFC notes that “The Sony PlayStation 4 has sold more units in its first two weeks than any other console at launch,” and it has the numbers to back it up. Check them out after the jump!
In its first two weeks, PlayStation 4 sold 2.1 million units in North America, as well as in various European countries. Meanwhile, Xbox One sold 2 million units in its first two weeks on the market in North America, Europe, Brazil, and Australia. Back in November of 2006, Wii sold 1.6 million units in its first two weeks in North America and Japan, while way back in March of 2000, PlayStation 2’s Japanese launch pushed 1.4 million consoles in two weeks.
