Beyoncé may have been the first artist to release a surprise album this month, but now prolific rapper Lil B has joined her by putting out his own spur-of-the-moment "six-disc" mixtape. On Christmas Eve, the Pack member posted 05 Fuck Em online for free, and it features 101 new songs about blogging, bar mitzvahs and, uh, "buying ho's." And like 2013 albums by Kanye West and Eminem, the album contains a track about being a deity, this time titled "Im the Rap God" [sic], on which the rapper declares, "You can't fuck with me," over System of a Down's "Toxicity." In total, Lil B put out nearly six hours of new music via a zip file that takes up half a gig of hard-drive space. Listen to the whole mixtape below.
Lil B began posting YouTubes of the some of the songs on 05 Fuck Em two weeks ago, beginning with "Rob the Jeweler" and, most recently, "Bar Mitzvah." The day he released it, Lil B heralded the album repeatedly on his Twitter by calling it a "collecters mixtape" [sic] and saying that it made "mixtape history." Not totally losing sight of the fact that he was giving away a whole lot on the release, he wrote "#MERRYXMAS" in one.
