41-year-old Tony Dotson was convicted of rape and burglary back in 2012. According to the grand jury indictment, Dotson staged a burglary at the home of his fiancee’s friend, and then raped her at knife point. Hit the jump to see his plan unfold.
While in holding at at the Van Cise-Simonet Detention Center in Denver (pictured), Dotson bought canteen items at the prison – with $6,691 that a friend had put in his inmate account in order to hire various inmates that were gang members for murder. He had a bite, but the two recruited hit men were later arrested before they could kill the witness.
According to Daily Mail, “If found guilty of the solicitation-to-commit murder charge, he could get 24 years in prison. He is also [facing] 31 years to life in prison the rape, but has yet to be sentenced.”
