Uhhhh, thanks but no thanks?! I’m not a Browns fan, but if I was I wouldn’t be looking in this guy’s direction. Check out which retired QB is looking to make a return & thinks he could help the Browns.
Via ESPN:
Former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia told a Cleveland radio station Tuesday that he called the Cleveland Browns seeking a tryout.
As if the team’s quarterback situation isn’t quirky enough.
Garcia sounded serious, though, when he told 92.3 The Fan that he sought a chance to solve the Browns’ quarterback predicament.
“I actually reached out to the Browns and said, ‘Hey, if you need a guy to come in, work me out, take a look,’” Garcia, 43, said.
The last time he was in the NFL was 2011. The last time he started a game in the NFL was 2008 — although he did start for the UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks in 2010.
He had a tough stint with the Browns in 2004, when he started 10 games and won just three.
“I don’t know if people want me back in Cleveland, but I’m open to the opportunity,” Garcia said.
