Terrell Owens Fires Longtime Agent Drew Rosenhaus

Posted by Unknown on 9:39 AM

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens has switched agents.

Owens left long-time high-powered agent, Drew Rosenhaus and hired Dallas-based agent Jordan Woy.

“I am making changes in my life so I can continue my career as a professional football player,” Owens said in a statement released on his own website. “I have hired Jordan Woy as my new agent. It was important for me to hire someone who believes in my ability to help an NFL team and believes in me as a person.”

Rosenhaus declined comment.

Last week, Owens was released by the Allen Wranglers and lost his ownership stake in the minor league indoor football team. Owens, who last played in the NFL in 2010 with theCincinnati Bengals, still hopes to return to the NFL, but has yet to find a taker.

“I love the game of football and I know I can help a team,” Owens said in Monday’s statement.

Owens and Rosenhaus have been together since the receiver’s days in Philadelphia. Upset with his contract with the Eagles, Owens held a news conference in front of his home in New Jersey and performed sit ups for reporters while Rosenhaus took questions.

In 2006, while playing for the Dallas Cowboys, Owens suffered an accidental overdose and Rosenhaus arrived within 24 hours of the incident as a swarm of reporters and fans stood outside Owens’ condo.
