|PHOTOS| Estelle Lands ‘Vibe Vixen’ Cover, Defends Chris Brown

Posted by Unknown on 10:51 PM

Congrats to the wonderfully talented UK singer Estelle, who has landed herself the cover of Vibe Vixen‘s March digital issue. Earlier this week, Rihanna discussed her reasoning for collaborating with Chris Brown and now Estelle has defended her decision to collab with the R&B singer as well. Find out what she had to say about Breezy after the jump!

Vibe Vixen:

The U.K. rap-singing phenomenon, who’s song “International (Serious),” off her new album All Of Me, features Breezy and Trey Songz, says of the troubled singer, “I try not to judge because I’ve been judged a heck of a lot, and it don’t feel nice. I feel like Chris is an incredible singer, musician, dancer, entertainer, and brain box as far as business and that’s why I respect him and that’s where we meet at because I have nothing else to go on.”

That’s not to say that the two artists are best friends. “We don’t hang out in the club, I love him as a person and as a brother, as peoples,” says Estelle. “I get it, I understand, and I get the effects for young women. I can’t speak on it because I wasn’t there.”

The crooner also stressed the age-old saying that parents should be the ones to control what their children listen to. “Parents, raise your kids. Young men and women, raise your kids. Don’t let us raise your children. That’s my take on it,” she explains. “I respect him, I love him, he does amazing music, and has evolved. He’s worked his ass off, so why are people still crucifying him?”

It seems that Estelle thinks the media, and us as outsiders looking in, are too hard on Chris. When we asked, she said, “I just think people need to worry about their lives per say. Don’t worry about who he’s recording songs, who he’s doing this with if you enjoy the music. A lot of the same people were two stepping to ‘Look At Me Now,’ so it’s kind of like, keep your story straight or just don’t judge. Roll with it or don’t, but don’t dip in and out. We all make mistakes. A sin is a sin is a sin. It’s no big smoke, let the boy live. He does music.”
