Idris Elba has confirmed that he will return for the second installment of the Marvel Studio’s Thor.
According to MTV, Elba will once again play Heimdall, the all-seeing, all-hearing guardian sentry of Asgard. This news comes days after it was reported Jaimie Alexander would also be returning to Asgard for Thor 2.
“Thor 2 for sure,” Elba responded when asked about future appearances in the Marvel Universe, “… We’re going at it again.”
Elba admitted he has not yet met with Alan Taylor, who was tapped to direct Thor 2. The British actor was unsure about Heimdall appearing in Marvel’s The Avengers, confirming that he has not – as of yet – been involved in that project.
Other returning stars include Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston. Thor 2 is expected to hit theaters on November 15 2013.
