A grenade was found at the King of Prussia Mall Wednesday afternoon, causing some evacuations, according to a mall spokesman.
The grenade was found by mall security in a flower pot in a first floor court near the Eddie Bauer store at about 1:45 p.m.
Upon investigation, officials discovered that the grenade was hollowed out and contained no explosives. Hollow grenades are often used in military training exercises, officials say.
As a precaution that area – not the entire mall – was cleared.
Police are looking for other possible devices in the mall and investigating from where the hand grenade came.
